HI, I’m Dani, and I am so thrilled you’re here!
Born and raised in the PNW, and now raising my own here, there is no where else I’d rather be photographing families, and couples than the place I call home. With over 8 years of professional photography experience, my journey to photography is unique, and heartbreakingly beautiful.
I had three major life events change and shape the road which led me to find photography, and deepen my appreciation and longing for photographs.
My parents divorce. My grandma’s house fire. The premature birth of my first son, at 27 weeks.
Nothing makes you realize how precious and valuable a photograph is, than loss. Whether that be the loss of a relationship, the loss of physical photos, or the loss of a life. While I may not have baby photos or senior photos, photos with my friends or all my pets, photos of my childhood home or photos with my mom, dad, or grandma, I do have a special knack for seeing the beauty and value in all of these moments and documenting them for you.
My goal is for my clients to show up as themselves, with the intention to be present and not perfect. Magic isn’t made from perfection, it’s made from all the little moments where you choose to connect with someone. Connection looks different for everyone, and while it may feel a little awkward in front of a camera, I have no problem putting my clients to ease by encouraging engagement, or bringing out a laugh with my weirdness. Bring me everything you want to remember, bring me the moments I can turn into magic. Bring the favorite stuffy, hold the little hands, twist the curls, share the yummy fruit snacks, tickle the little tootsies, search for the perfect stick, wade through the water, give all the kisses, curl up in your partners lap, dance on the mountain, laugh until you cry, then let the tears fall, and let me show you how beautiful and meaningful these moments are for your family. So that decades from now, your kids will have these heirlooms, even if they don’t have the memories.
My hope for your session, is that we create images that last long into those lazy afternoons and late into the night as you scroll through your photos and reminisce. Images that fill your heart and home for years to come.
